As a conductor, I advocate for new music by emerging composers as well as nationally celebrated composers in addition to rare performances of 20th and 21st Century masterpieces with the Hartford Independent Chamber Orchestra. I have been a proponent of young and upcoming composers in coordination with the Composition Department at The Hartt School as well as The Hartt Community Division through premieres of numerous works.

 

Since 2000, I have nurtured the legacy of excellence enjoyed by the Connecticut Youth Symphony for over 75 years. The orchestra immerses its musical energies in the canon of symphonic repertoire from the common practice period of Western Art Music.
